Evva Hanes is the founder of the Clemmons, NC-based Moravian Sugar Crisp Co., Inc. The company makes handmade Moravian cookies that are marketed locally and via mail order to all 50 states and 30 foreign countries each year. The cookies are made from secret family recipes.

In her cookbook, Mrs. Hanes shares some of her family recipes
and remembrances.

The cookbook contains over 400 pages and 600 recipes, from appetizers to desserts. With a hard-bound spiral cover, the book is sure to weather many years of thumbing through to find your favorite for every occasion. Throughout the book you'll find recipes marked as a "make-ahead dish" or "Evva's Pick".

There are menus and recipes to bake quickly when unexpected guests arrive and lots of recipes for vegetables. Festive occasions and holiday cooking recipes and menus are included and many have very little preparation time at the end, or can be fixed entirely in advance to give the cook time to join in on the festivities.

Feeding a large crowd? This is the place to find those menus and recipes for 20-40 people, with most preparation done ahead of time. Also included are recipes that can be made in bulk and frozen, ready to take out and heat quickly for company.

The recipes are made with ingredients that most cooks have readily available in their kitchens and brand names are included for those items that Evva feels will give you better results.

Although I don't get much time to cook with us "on the road" so much, this is one cookbook that is going into storage for when we retire from the road and I can get back into the kitchen (the BIG new one Micheal will have ready for us when the time comes!)
