The office has loads of pamphlets and flyers about local activities as well as the park's scheduled events. Every day during the winter had many activities planned.
Gary, the owner, took me on a golf cart tour and explained how the park had grown and it's future plans.
The recreation hall was huge and the kitchen had about every utensil and appliance you would need for anything! Cindy will be drooling!
It is very impressive. Just outside were areas being planted and organized to be quiet areas to reflect on life, enjoy the birds or read one of the many book available the the paperback exchange/library.
The pool was very large and clean, as was the hot tub. Cindy and I took advantage of it that evening before retiring.
As I downloaded our email inside, Cindy arrived and Gary repeated the tour for her. She was really impressed with the library area and they huge selection of books to trade.
I thought the shuffleboard are was one of the best maintained ones we've seen. And the horseshoe pit area was close by as well as a large BBQ.
This park is great for a short or long stay. It's proximity to the Gulf, bird sanctuaries, Mexico and South Padre Island also make it ideal. So, stop by their Website, say HI for us and enjoy!
