Walt greeted me outside. We entered the home from a side entrance and after the tour, he allowed freedom to film the rooms at my leisure. The other guests would not be arriving until late.
The grounds were spectacular. The pool sits just off the Wye River. The homes along the river are beautiful with huge properties and post-card landscaping. Yachts, docks and ducks accent the river. Maryland really is stunning this time of year.

My room was the Chesapeake Suite. A king bed with large night stands and lamps highlighted the room. One night stand also had a CD/alarm clock. There was a bench at the foot of the bed. It had a 4-drawer/5-shelf armoire and a 36" TV with remote. There was a separate VCR and a 9-drawer dresser with tri-fold mirror.
The private bath had a long shower/tub combination and long countertop with wash basin. There was a butler's basket, freestanding mirror and an indigo night light.

Next was a private sitting area with a fouton bed, chair and ottoman and a desk. This area led to the private balcony which covered the entire breakfast area below, had 8 chairs on it and had a gorgeous view as you can see!
Walt suggested a restaurant on the bay, so I headed off to dine and catch the sun setting on the water. But, before I left, he showed me his recipe setup. Inn managers are truly professionals. He showed me some puzzles and word find sheets he had created to give kids a time-filler while waiting for their breakfast.

After getting my sunset photos and enjoying Chesapeake oysters, I drove back to The Manor. The common areas were huge. There was a game room with pool table. I worked on my photos and met some other guests that were investors in the ongoing golf course on the Point.
I got to know them a little better the next morning at breakfast. But, first I met David. He designed the golf course and when he heard that I was covering the Point and had not yet seen the golf course properly.....he was going to change that.
 | David met me at the base of the stairway. We headed off to get a few pictures. It really is a special place to play. Upon returning, Walt was placing the food on the table.....what a guy!
We started with a combination of bananas, pink grapefruit and orange yogurt. Walt spoiled me a little, by bringing me a Pepsi and lemon water. Then, the main course arrived.....blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. David had asked us to build a website for the golf course and with this breakfast, I was ready to get at it! |
This property and ALL of Pintail Point is an amazing experience. I can not express how much fun I had here. So make sure you contact Walt and have him organize your week's stay at
