Kenai Princess RV Park
Cooper Landing, Alaska

We had an extra day in our schedule, so decided to arrive early for our review. Located in Cooper Landing, the RV Park is also a part of the adjacent Kenai Princess Lodge.

Sue warmly greet us on our arrival and explained that we were welcome to use the hot tub at the lodge and could also get our email there. The park facilities are well maintained, with a laundry room, pay showers and small camp store. The sites are nicely spaced and level, with a small strip of grass in between sites and picnic tables.

Full hookups include water, electric and sewer. There are no plans to offer cable TV or a central modem hookup in the park. The park manager explained to us that this was a wilderness park and most folks come here for the fishing.

We were unsuccessful at our attempts to get our email at the lodge and it was suggested that we try the library, about a mile down the road. Just as we arrived, there was an area-wide power outage and the library was closed for the day. We returned to the park and spent a quiet evening relaxing.

When looking for a wilderness park on your way to Soldotna and Homer, be sure to give them a call at (907) 595-1425.
