Julie met us at the end of Gilbert Drive, flagging us down as we entered the street. She welcomed us and said she was headed for the grocer's and that Peter was on the back deck enjoying a beverage and that we should join him. With that, she hopped into her car and was off. After getting Lexxus settled, we joined Peter.
He took us on a tour of the B&B and explained that the entire downstairs was ours during our stay. We chose the room with twin beds, as we had never tried this way before. The reason no other guests were scheduled was because Peter & Julie had given up their fishing plans for the weekend to accommodate our visit (this is just one example of how nice these folks are).

They had the hot tub on the back deck ready for us, the yard was freshly cut and the gardens were beautiful. Playful squirrels entertained us and birds were singing.
Julie returned and visited for a while before we headed off on a packed day's activities.
We returned to the B&B and after enjoying the dinner, provided by local merchants, we settled in downstairs. Cindy got her email while I downloaded the day's pictures.
I had some problems with my computer, but after a brief scare, Cindy was able to fix the problem.
We enjoyed the fireplace and watched TV on the big screen. The sofa was so comfortable and Cindy drifted off. We had our own stocked refrigerator, microwave, coffee and tea pots, dishes, teas, coffee and homemade peanut butter cookies! They had thought of everything. Even a washer and dryer, if we needed them. Too soon it was time to retire.

The next morning we feasted again! We started off with coffee, tea and orange juice, along with banana date muffins. This was followed by Dutch baby pancakes with strawberries and mangos, bacon, orange slices and kiwi. A wonderful meal to get us going for the day!
And instead of leaving our hosts, as usual, they led us on another tour of the local University, around town and to lunch at Ten.85 Café.
We hope that the Prince George community appreciates what great hosts and tour guides they have in Peter & Julie!
When, planning your trip to Prince George, be sure to contact Griffiths' on Gilbert Bed & Breakfast....make your reservations...and be sure to tell them that Cruising America made the recommendation!
