Monastery Fruit Cake

It's about that time of year again to get your orders in for your holiday fruit cake and we have found the one!!!
The opportunity to share a review of a product in a group setting once again presented itself. We shared this wonderful fruit cake with the Gumpp family of Harlansburg, PA.
After Betty had served us dinner, we brought out the Monastery Fruit Cake from The Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, VA. The cake was carefully sealed to preserve its freshness and placed in an attractive, reusable tin. Laced with the choicest glace cherries and pineapples, dates, whole pecans and walnuts, raisins and citron, lemon and orange peel, it was very moist and delicious.
Betty probably gave the cake it's highest praise as she said, "It is as good as my mother's fruit cake." Cindy, having experienced Betty's Mom's cooking can attest that is was indeed the best of compliments!
