As we started setting up for our review, a camper with a PA system started announcing the evenings' function. In the main hall would be an Ice Cream Social at 7pm. Bring your own bowl and spoon and for a small fee all the ice cream you could eat would be available. It was an offer too good to refuse. There was even a video comedy for entertainment afterwards. Mike took pictures and every one invited us to attend "Monday morning get-together".
The next morning, we headed to the main hall for the meeting and ran into some folks that had been at Green Acres Campground the day before. The chorus sang as we ate free donuts and drank coffee. Then there was a campground meeting. It was positive and more plans and events were scheduled. This is really a resort that is hopping! And everyone was having so much fun!!!
The park was very clean and well taken care of, including the grounds and all the buildings. The sites were large and level and there were lots of trees. The pool was just behind the huge "community" room. Here you could connect to get your email, or browse through the tons of literature and brochures for local events and activities. There was a lending library for books, videos and puzzles.There were even a few craft books and magazines in the stack. Bikes were available, as was shuffleboard and a playground for those younger at heart.
We wished we could have stayed here longer. We love seeing people have such a great time! As we were departing, we heard the best endorsement yet, some folks were returning for their 25th year. That says it all!
