Warren, Vermont
This stop was anything but "common". We were greeted by Mike Ware, the owner of the restaurant and taken to a beautiful table for two near the large fireplace. Mike personally greets and thanks his customers and with this personal attention to his customers we knew we were in for a great evening at a great place.

The original building was a barn built in 1881. Converted to a restaurant in 1959, the original structure was lost to an early morning fire on February 5, 1987. The present structure is a mid-1900 bard built by Micah Taplin near Wincoski River in Moretown. It was dismantled in the spring of 1987 and re-erected on this site during that summer. Mike has owned the business for 27 years, that fact a testimony itself to the excellent service and meals provided.
After greeting us, our waitress for the evening, Tracey, lit our candle and took our drink orders. I rarely drink but with his relaxed outlook on life, decided to try a tequila sunrise tonight.
As Cindy enjoyed the soft music in the background and admired the stone fireplace and decor, I strolled around and took pictures for the review.
Our dinners were outstanding!
This is certainly some of the finest dining in Vermont and we'd love to hear from who have enjoyed it there too!
