The Common Man Restaurant
Ashland, New Hampshire

Karol and Betsy Paterman of Glynn House Victorian B&B arranged our review of The Common Man and joined us for a delightful evening. This was fine dining and only a few blocks from the B&B! Our hostess spoke well for the restaurant. She was lovely.

The Common Man was started by November, 1971 and has antiques both for sale and to admire throughout the restaurant. There were tables on the patio for those cooler evenings (this was not one!). Across the street is a wonderful shop owned by the same people.....be sure to stop in there before or after your meal!

Our meal started with a green salad with the house dressing - peppercorn/Parmesan dressing and hot bread.

Next came our main course. Mike had grilled shrimp with wild rice and snow peas, carrots & zucchini and Cindy had the pork chop in apple pear butter with a scallion potato cake and the veggies. Great! And the prices were very reasonable, too.
But the best part, as always, came last!
Chocolate bread Pudding ala mode and White Chocolate Mousse
