 | Again we were taken to a site right on the ocean. The only thing between us and the ocean was the beautiful white beach and the newly planted palm trees. We were right near the pier and Our site offered full hookups and there was a desk in the office to get a modem connection. The park will soon have phone hookups available at each site, with connection through the local telephone company. This would be a great spot for a snow bird! |
Large spaces for the real long class A's, have recently been added to the park. There are lots of trees between the campsites and an RV wash area was available near the marina. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, both in the office/store and as some of them spread new beautiful white sand across all the campsites. One of the workers commented, "this type of beachsand doesn't blow in your face as others do". The sand on the beach here is as white as that in the Ft. Walton Beach area.
We took about a hundred photos of the sun setting over the water as we visited with a couple from Maryland on the beach. With them was a proud retired Marine who was really enjoying himself in the warm twilight. They invited us for "chops" for dinner but we had to get all the photos ready for the resort and we headed back to the camp.
With plans to rise at 4am and beat the traffic in and around Key West, our next stop, we drifted off to the sounds of the waves hitting the beach. We can heartily recommend this park as a sure stop in the Florida Keys! Be sure to visit their Website and when you make YOUR reservations, tell them Cruising America said Hi!
